This tour was created and is dedicated in loving memory to the girls and women, who lost their lives in the Essex Witch Hunts of the 17th Century.
It was, and remains, a tragedy!

This tour will ignite your imagination. The history is very complex, yet it is equally moving!
Possibly over 300 girls and women were executed as witches, some men, and children too.
We follow in the chilling footsteps of Matthew Hopkins and John Sterne, two of the most hated, and feared, witch hunters England has ever known.
England’s only great Witch Hunters!
The tour brings the personal stories of the girls and women, who were so cruelly hunted and executed, alive!
They were not witches, they were innocent women!
This tour aims to bring them justice, if only in our thoughts, as only the passing of time, and history can!

Every lady and girl on the tour, will receive a red rose, to remember the women and girls who lost their lives in the Essex Witch Hunts!
We will pause to remember them, as we lay our roses in our special ‘laying of roses’ ceremony!

This tour is not suitable for the very elderly, those in wheelchairs, on crutches, walking sticks or zimmer frames. Small children or tiny babies or toddlers, that may need carrying.
Dogs
Friendly well behaved small dogs are welcome on tour, please keep them on a lead at all times whilst on tour
