The Boleyn Girls
This is a very unique and special tour! It is a celebration of both spiritual history, and drama! During the tour guests can enjoy live recitals at ancient rural churches, whilst enjoying eating home made Tudor cakes, the very taste of history! It is quite a thrill to experience drama in this way, at our beautiful ancient rural Essex churches, in the open air!
This tour was created during the Pandemic of 2021, when I used to drive out to visit ancient churches, exploring the amazing history! And giving recitals, as all the theatres were closed! Hence the tour was born!
Guests drive with Jane and journey safely to visit 4 ancient rural Essex churches, off the beaten track! And often down small country lanes.
Live Theatre at the church!
At each church, the fascinating history is given, yet an unusual and exciting surprise, is to hear live recitals. with the use of simple props, from great literature! Shakespeare, The Bible and some of the classics.
Enjoy eating delicious home made Tudor Cakes at the Church!
Each lady receives an Elizabeth posy, full of Shakespearean flowers, as a special reminder of her day!
Live Solo Drama recitals from Shakespeare and the Bible given at the church, and full history of the churches given also!
This is a 3 hour morning guided tour.
You will need your car, as we journey from each of the 4 churches!
